There has been a lot of hype surrounding ChatGPT and the uses that it has. From being qualified as ChatMD in the healthcare department to even being declared the potential future of the Metaverse. It seems like this new AI chatbot is nothing short of perfect….but is this really the case?
ChatGPT has many useful features, but it is still far from perfect.
Incorrect Information: Not everything that ChatGPT says is accurate, with OpenAI themselves stating that the bot may occasionally generate content that is deemed incorrect.
Limited Knowledge: Questions asked regarding events that take place post 2021 can leave the Chatbot unable to come up with a valid response. This lack of up-to-date information can cause difficulty for those using ChatGPT to find information about events in recent years.
Emotional Intelligence: The AI is unable to respond appropriately to complex emotional situations. The Chatbot may be able to generate responses that seem empathetic, but it does not truly possess emotional intelligence as of yet.
With this new AI, and all the hype surrounding it, it is interesting to see how ChatGPT will hold up in the future. Whilst the tool may be quite useful, it is important to keep in mind that it still far from perfect.
